An informal woodland garden run by the National Trust. Located a little south of Ambleside with the Stencher Beck running though with mini falls adding even more interest.
The gardens are located in the village of Rydal in the Lake District of England. The gardens feature a range of plant life, including a formal garden, a rose garden, and woodland areas. Visitors can also explore the nearby Rydal Mount and gardens, the former home of poet William Wordsworth.
A 70 foot cascading waterfall in a woodland setting within walking distance of central Ambleside. In the spring it is particularly good with daffodil's and good water flow.

On first glance it may look like a very well preserved medieval castle but in fact is a Victorian 1840 build which was passed to the National rust in 1929. Now open to the public together with impressive grounds which include Giant Redwood trees and other specimen trees
