About Saltash and the surrounding area

Surrounding Saltash are several places of interest. To the east, across the River Tamar, lies the city of Plymouth with its rich maritime history and attractions like the National Marine Aquarium and the historic Barbican district. Northwards, the Tamar Valley AONB, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers a stunning landscape rich in wildlife and a network of trails for hiking and cycling. Further north, the edge of Dartmoor National Park beckons with its vast moorlands and wealth of outdoor pursuits. Westwards, you can explore the charming coastal villages of southeast Cornwall, including Looe and Polperro, both famous for their picturesque harbours and narrow, winding streets. A short drive southward leads to the Rame Peninsula, with its beautiful beaches and panoramic views across Plymouth Sound.
