Rhosneigr is a seaside village on the Isle of Anglesey, known for its broad sandy beaches and coastal scenery. It lies along the Anglesey Coastal Path, making it a popular stop for walkers exploring the island’s shoreline. The village has a mix of shops, cafés, and accommodation, with the sea providing opportunities for sailing, surfing, and other water sports. Close by is Barclodiad y Gawres, a Neolithic burial chamber decorated with ancient carvings, reflecting the long history of settlement in this part of North Wales. Rhosneigr is also situated near RAF Valley and lies around 13 miles south of the port town of Holyhead.
The surrounding area includes several named beaches such as Treath Crigyll Beach and Porth Tyn Tywyn Beach, both offering open sands and views across the bay. Inland, the community of Llanfaelog adjoins the village, while Ty Croes and Bryn Du sit slightly further east. Silver Bay Beach provides another stretch of sand to the north, and Cable Bay - Porth Trecastel Beach lies just south along the coast.
