Food was excellent, view from breakfast room was lovely, bed was huge, coffee bags and refreshments available, even gin and tonic supplied as an assumed complimentary. Great building, lovely staff, I would visit again just for the staff, they were so accommodating.

A last minute trip to Whitby for Goth Weekend. Absolutely fabulous and our lovely accommodation made it all the more worthwhile. Beautiful fishing town, very friendly locals and lots of quirky shops and great places to eat.

Of course there is the link for Goth and Steampunk weekends, our main reason for revisiting, but the town, sites, people and the Abbey are there all year round - well worth a visit at any time of year. Whitby is our favourite place & we go several times a year. There are some lovely eating places, bars & coffee shops {the flat white coffee in Coopers is the best). The walk into Whitby was quick and easy, with many amenities on the doorstep. The guidebook helped with some suggestions of places to visit and we enjoyed two wonderful meals: Abbey Harbour and Moon and Sixpence, as well as delicious cocktails at Cafe Montmarte. All in all, a wonderful break, where we would be happy to stay again.

Great evening entertainment in the bar. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and efficient. Great location for walking down to the harbour and ample nearby parking.
