Definitely need a car to get around this area.

Definitely need a car to get around this area. Not quite the luxury I was looking for. Accomodation and breakfast where I stayed was fairly basic. Quite limited in eating out options too. Managed to walk the Pen y Fan which was the highlight of my stay here.

Nice town with some lovely places to go for a drink and a bite to eat. Friendly bar with live music at the weekend. Also there is a Wetherspoon. The Zip World was only a 30 min drive away and is fantastic. Great scenery and walks near by.

Only stayed 2 days and then was at an event so not enough time to explore. However on an evening plenty of places to eat and drink. Tesco Extra and range of other shops incl. Saturday street market. Train and bus transport hub, and plenty of places to explore a short distance away.

Liked the fact it has good public transport links to the Brecon Beacons the town itself looks a bit run down in places like many these days but had everything we needed with lots of things to do nearby. We enjoyed climbing Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, visiting Lyn Cwm Llwch, walking along parts of the Taff Trail, visiting The Brecon Mountain Railway, Cyfarthfa Castle and park as well as things further a field.

Great places to visit. We where only there for two nights. We enjoyed the waterfalls and the steam train ride. There are plenty of places to eat out. We saw lots of cyclists whilst traveling in our car. Found the area very dog friendly which suited us .

Visited the nearby reservoir and Garwnant Visitors

Visited the nearby reservoir and Garwnant Visitors Centre -lovely trails and views. Also the Brecon Beacons were within easy reach. We ate at Nant Ddu the first night and shared 3 tasty side dishes between us. Not too far from 3 near locations where my Dad was born and lived in Penwhriceiber, Cefn Pennar and Mountain Ash. Able to visit as near.

Lovely little base for exploring The Brecon Beacons. Lots of space and good value for money! Loved the little terrace, great for the dog to chill out in after a long day out hiking. Little bits provided for the dog were amazing and very helpful as we ran out of poo bags! She also was very happy with her own bed that was set up :) Very quirky decor & right up our street, had everything we needed for a short stay, the kitchenette was very useful, great to have milk on our arrival and the Welsh cakes were divine thank you :)

Location in South Wales is good; there are main roads nearby that link you to bigger towns and the mountains. There are ample fuel stations and big shops/supermarkets nearby. The room was clean and had supplies of towels etc. Communication from the owners was good (although the 'suggestions' emails could have been cut down a little - one would have been OK). The property had free parking available in a large car park behind the property. Shower was fine.

A quirky place to stay, well thought out for a holiday home. Hot tub was a good addition, and the outside space is nice. Location is convenient for getting to Brecon and Bikepark Wales. Secure shed for bikes. The fish and chip shop round the corner is very good. Owner was friendly and available. Property was clean. I would definitely stay again.

This is a fantastic property to stay in. We loved the quirkiness, the games room was fantastic, the outdoor area was lovely, the beds were super comfy and the quality of the linen and towels equal to a hotel stay, plus dogs are welcome. Finally the home grown honey from the owners bees was a beautiful touch. We will definitely return.

The staff were so very helpful, Professional and couteous. Compliments to the chef...the food....as always...was top notch. The martini cocktails were divine and at £7.50 a good price. It was so nice to go to a hotel where the spa facilities are actually in use. A wonderful stay...just what my sister and I needed.

The site is located a short distance to many of the trails in the Brecon Beacons, which is great if you want to go hiking but make sure you have dinner before returning home for the night as there are no restaurants nearby. The rooms were a good size and very quiet at night.
