The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. I was given a car park pass so I could park free of charge in the shopping car park next door.
The receptionist doubled up in the bar so she was very busy. However she was chatty and made me feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble.

Although the room was a twin, it was not the picture on the confirmation.
The hotel was very tired and neglected in both maintenance and cleanliness on internal structures.
I wouldn't stay there again as they have no empathy of requests due to sudden illness. My son and his fiance had a second room ( I had booked for them ) but unfortunately had a serious bout of covid and was admitted to hospital only wanted to move the date but we were told they don't do that as people 'play 'them. They had already been paid for the room we didnt request a refund!
so people be aware of whom you book with.
Because of no reply from Booking.com either we most likely not book through them either....

It's great for It's historic steam railway.
It's great for It's historic steam railway. The thing that was disappointing was the cliff railway out of use. People depend on it to get to high Town. Hopefully it will be in working order soon.

Bridgnorth is great for a its shops, eateries and pubs.
Bridgnorth is great for a its shops, eateries and pubs. The Seven Valley Railway goes from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster run by fantastic volunteers and provides a great day out. We ate in The Legend, a Chinese, The Shakespeare and Wetherspoons. The meals were ok in each. Wetherspoons being the cheapest.

Loved Bridgenorth and all its quirkiness.
Loved Bridgenorth and all its quirkiness. The buildings were super. Took you back to a different timne. Loved the quirky little streets that went off and showed you haow all of the town is used up.
Bit dissapointed not to be able to go on the lift on the side of the cliff. Will go back to go on that and also to go on the steam engine trip with afternoon tea

Bridgnorth is a lovely small town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. There is a lovely church where you can sit outside (enjoy an ice cream) which is lovely in the summer months. Bassa Villa is a lovely traditional pub to visit and has the best Guinness to offer along with its in-house Pizza menu. Market day is on a Saturday and it's always nice to have a wander picking up some great bargains including fresh fruit and vegetables. We went to the new Indian restaurant inside the Falcon Hotel on the night and the food was excellent and well within budget. Watch out for tribute bands//comdey night etc on 'Theatre on the Steps'. The Black Horse Pub is always worth visiting and has a lovely enclosed area. We normally stay more uptown but lately, we've been stopping lower town as it also offers much.
Excellent facilities, plus all the modern technology and Internet that is fast. Great location for the town centre yet really nice and quiet area. We went over Christmas Day and was able to cook a meal in the kitchen with no issues. Really lovely decor and nicely decorated for Christmas. Warm and clean so no complaints at all. Big flat screen tvs in every bedroom, games and even video games available.
Parking not an issue, easy to get to but we did appreciate the details sent to us a few days before (it made it even easier).
This was the second time we have stayed at the Old Post Office
It is located in Low Town, which has a selection of pubs and restaurants
High town with it's multitude of Pubs and restaurants is a short walk across the Bridge and up via the steps, cartway or if you're not feeling energetic, via the Cliff Railway
Lovely selection of breakfast items, fruit and fridge items were there when we arrived
The property was comfortable and well equipped. It had everything I needed for a short stay. The location was peaceful and convenient for the town centre, which is only 15 minutes walk away. The host was friendly and helpful and responded very quickly to a question I asked. I also very much appreciated having a designated car parking space, as parking in Bridgnorth itself can be challenging.
Very smart, located in low town near river crossing so easy access to high town. As only an overnight stay we were able to have a room with 2 twin beds ( which were very comfortable) and a sofa bed. Good breakfast served by very pleasant staff and permit parking worked well as carpark behind hotel. Lovely outdoor courtyard area.
Stayed for 1 night, very clean and comfortable. Had 2 rooms, spoke to Martin to arrange early check in and a bottle of bubbles into 1 room, very easy to do. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast and great place to eat or drink on the evening. Great location in low town right next to the river and only a short walk to high town.
We stayed there for 1 night but also ate there as we had a family get together. Carvery was amazing and great value for money. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. We will definately go back and recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in a country location. Just a few minute drive from Bridgnorth.
Great location: Bridgenorth is a beautiful town. and we are living just between High Town and Low Town, by the river Severn;
The apartment is very spacious and clean;
Newly refurnished kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has all basic equipments if you want to cook;
The host is very friendly and ready to help;
Comfortable cottage, close to the centre of Bridgnorth, with a lovely view over the Low Town and the Severn.
We were given an early check-in, free of charge, and a welcome box greeted us on our arrival.
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the not too distant future.
it was out in the country in beautiful surroundings but centrally located to Bridgnorth, Ironbridge and Ludlow. There was a well stocked kitchen and the sitting room and bedroom facilities were very comfortable. Proprietor was quick to respond to questions. parking was on site.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location , within walking distance to town, shops, pubs, restaurants , river, churches etc.
Friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast.
A good friendly atmoshere around the whole of Bridgnorth and a great place to visit for all ages.
Room was characterful and the bed was comfortable. There was also a nice bar downstairs. Location was excellent, 2 mins from the river, 5 min walk (uphill) to High Town or during the day using the funicular railway just 2 mins away.
The hotel is quite old fashioned and a bit outdated but overall we really enjoyed our stay very clean nice staff and excellent breakfast. The location is perfect too
