Historic Gateway to Gatwick
The Sussex market town of Crawley is just south of Gatwick Airport, London’s 2nd busiest passenger terminal after Heathrow.
Its train station links directly to Gatwick, as well as to Victoria Station in London to the north, and Brighton to the south. Set roughly midway between the 2 cities, the town has long been an important stopping place. One of its 17th-century coaching inns – the George Hotel – still exists under the name of the Ramada Crawley Gatwick and is available on Booking.com.
However, the town’s history dates back much further than that. Records show it as being a market town as early as the 13th century, and its central Goffs Park has a museum containing some Stone Age remains found here.
Tilgate Park to the south has a lake, nature reserve and one of Crawley’s 3 golf courses. The town’s other leisure activities include bowling, a cinema and a collection of restaurants and pubs. The high street is a mix of historic buildings and modern shops, and more stores are found at Crawley County Mall.
Practically all of the Crawley hotels, guest houses and country houses provide parking and a few also have features such as swimming pools and gyms.

Historic town with character, real ale houses and many local shops, good rail and bus transport links and detailed town maps, great little daily market next to large shopping centre at train and bus stations recommend Dixies chicken it was delish and a rival for KFC. Everything was just perfect a classic authentic looking pub style hotel with very cozy fire place in the dining room and very comfy and cozy rooms. A pity there is no meal service as this place screams for a Sunday roast and the classics on a menu as a steak with 3 choice sauces, a pizza, a burger, a crab cake with greens, a classic fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar and two salads. The rooms were clean as were the public areas. Staff were friendly and polite. However, whilst the food was good it was of a low standard and offered at an outrageous cost....b/fast was a plentiful buffet but £16 was steep.

Trivelles Gatwick Hotel was disgusting The 200 meter driveway was flooded which disguised the massive pot holes all the way down the drive the underside of my car scraped at least twice.The pictures of the palce must have been taken when first renovated which must have been somme time ago as it is very tired now. the bed linen was stained, it looked like someone has blown their nose on it, and I saw at least 3 cockroaches on the desk.Mark

We were really pleased that we had the barbecue and necessary utensils, including coals and lighters. The ping pong table was the main attraction of the house. The kids enjoyed running around in the large garden. Close to the Three Bridges Train Station and town centre. Was perfect for us. Check in and parking was very smooth and simple. Staff very friendly. It's a very large corporate hotel but done very well, beautifully lit everywhere with nice touches. Rooms very nice and generous, and a super comfortable bed. Easy pick up at 4:30am, friendly taxi driver waiting in the lobby. Will be staying again.

The rooms were ample big enough, warm and cosy. Hotel receptionist friendly got keys straight away. Overall room was comfy just what we needed. No breakfast or food facilities but that didn't bother us.
