The hotel is beautiful, the view is amazing. The restaurant staff was really friendly and welcoming. Everyone was polite and professional. The food was amazing.
The Grand Harbour hotel is located in Ilfracombe, 35 km from Lundy Island and 36 km from Royal North Devon Golf Club. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving European cuisine.

The breakfast was simple but still very tasty. I did wish it was available till 11 or 12 though, rather than 10

It was clean, quiet, airy, with comfortable beds, excellent recycling. Everything was clearly explained in signs, good for neurodivergent people.
Set in Ilfracombe, near Wildersmouth beach, Ilfracombe and Watermouth Castle, Sandpiper Inn B&B and Pub has a bar. This beachfront property offers access to bowling in the bowling alley and free WiFi....

Great location in the desert of Ilfracombe. Staff really friendly and excellent atmosphere in the pub and really exceptionally friendly patrons. A really nice crowd. While the single room was small, it was comfortable and good value for money and the atmosphere and location more than made up for the small room.
A family-run hotel set in the seaside resort of Ilfracombe, Palm Court B&B is a 3-minute walk sea front and shops and just a 1-minute walk from Tunnels Beaches.
It's just off the centre of town only 3 minutes away
Great fish and chip and ice cream shop. Lovely walk up to the hill with fabulous views.
Sadly, lots of shops closed or closed early. Need more interesting shops in the high st. The Nest, florist, chocolate emporium were definitely the best.

Being tucked away on the North Devon coast, Ilfracombe is not nearly as crowded as its southern & Cornish neighbours, but is nonetheless a delightful location which we visit very often & always enjoy being there.

Ilfracombe is a lovely place to visit, however please be aware how hilly it is. Walking down to harbour is easy but the return journey can be a bit of a slog.
Had gluten free fish and chips from Lynbay fish and chip shop.
Gluten free cream tea from St James tea garden.
Wasn't overly impressed with the beach as it mainly slate pebbles, but Woolacombe is not far away with golden sands.

Many part of this town including its HIGH STREET are looking terribly run down and rough. So too some pubs ...
I'm sure it will perk up in higher season but money needs to be spent on its appearance .
The streets felt as safe as most places in Britain and some Bistros and cafes were delightful. Roads are narrow and some extremely vertiginous . Parking can be an issue in high season I guess.

Ilfracombe is worth a visit and is probably better in the summer than when we visited. We preferred Woolacombe and Puttsborough beach is great for surfing. We walked around Baggy Point and saw some amazing views. Well worth a visit.

There were some really lovely parts of Ilfracombe and some not so nice , like most towns . Most of the architecture is stunning with old and new together but some new don't fit in. The scenery on the coast is amazing with lots of craggy coves and you can walk along the South West Coast Path . There is a small harbour where a stunning Damien Hirst statue is of Verity ,Statue of Justice if I remember correctly Parts of Ilfracombe are quite steep but there are slopes and some roads on the flat. We ate Sunday lunch at the Thatched Inn , had Breakfast at the Lime Kiln Cafe down by a cove . We loved it.
The apartment is good-sized and clean. The owner has provided all the expected mod-cons alongside some nice extras such as board games, DVDs and books. There are some lovely views out towards the sea, hills and coastline. It's a short walk downhill towards the charming harbour and beach area with plenty of eateries and attractions to fill a day. Head in the other direction, towards the town centre, for supermarkets and convenience stores.
Overall a pleasant stay in Ilfracombe, which is a great base from which to explore North Devon.
A lovely hotel, clean and welcoming and a great location for wandering around Ilfracombe. Kirsty's attention to detail made the trip for us - recommendations of places to eat, visit, bookings etc. The rooms were spotless and well stocked. The breakfast were simply amazing - cereals, fruit, yoghurts, the full cooked, kippers - the list goes on. A well run family hotel and such value for money. Totally exceeded our expectations We will most definitely be booking again.
The location is excellent, with stunning views of the harbour from 1 bedroom and direct views of the church in the other. It is very central to everything you want to visit in Ilfracombe.
The main lounge was nicely decorated and enjoyable enough for a conversation in the evening, but rather small for dining.
There were some lovely lamps in all rooms.
The host was lovely and communicative.
Terence and Piper were excellent and accommodating right from the start. This is a lovely and really well thought through hotel where the care and attention to detail from the owners can be seen throughout; from the fantastic colour scheme and decoration, to the comfy beds and delicious breakfast. This was our first visit to Ilfracombe and I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
You feel you’re at home as soon as you set your foot through the door and that is due to the welcoming and friendly professional staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. It’s also probably located in the nicest part of Ilfracombe with everything you would want to see or visit close by. We enjoyed our short stay and will be back. Thank you
We were visiting Ilfracombe for a wedding at The Tunnels, so the Bathhouse Hotel was perfect as it's just across the road from the venue. But the hotel is also very close to all amenities of the town and with the coastal path two minutes walk away we didn't stray far from Ilfracombe at all for the time we were there. We had such a lovely time.
Really lovely property, great location for us, views of the sea and not far from harbour but also possible to get out of ilfracombe easily. Bed was very comfy. Warm and cozy which was great given we didn't have great weather. Need to bring passwords for Netflix etc but all there.
Beautiful, big and comfortable room in a lovely building, with staff offering a very friendly and efficient service. I feel it's the kind of place you could stay in for longer, as it's not cramped and situated in a nice part of Ilfracombe. I'm definitely recommending it to friends.
The hosts were very welcoming on arrival. The room was well decorated and the complimentary extras were a nice touch! The breakfast lived up to its fantastic reputation. I will definitely be staying at The Earlsdale again next time I’m in Ilfracombe.
Location was superb as we travelled by bus using the Exmoor Coaster from Watcher harbour to Lynmouth and then to Barnstaple and Ilfracombe returning on the Sunshine bus and Exmoor Coaster so the hotel was ideal for our purposes
Terance and Piper are two of the nicest people I have ever met and they were incredibly accomodating. The room, the facilities and the location exceeded our expacations and we had a great time staying at the Devonian.
