The view is exceptional. The accommodation and location (for the ferry) excellent as was the host. So much so that we’ll stay on our return from Ireland.
The family run Ferryboat is 500 metres from Fishguard Harbour. It offers stylish en-suite rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Free parking is available on site.

We needed an overnight sleep after the ferry crossing before a further long drive the next morning . Wanted a clean B and B close to Fishguard port which we got. The very pleasant proprietor kindly waited for us arriving 11pm and took breakfast order. We are early risers, despite being very tired arriving so decided to hit the road at 7.30am and grab something en route as it was bank holiday weekend, therefore cannot comment on breakfast. We left a note

For the price of this room it is excellent value. The rooms were very clean, all the accessories, the staff were excellent, the breakfast was very good. I don’t really have a bad thing to say. How they manage to charge so little is beyond me.

After weeks in hotels, this was like coming home. So well looked after by Alan and his staff, with the experience of a farmstay, and the professionalism and love of a chef to cook for us each evening. And a valuable advocate of things to see and do around the area
It's a great base location for exploring the area.
It's a great base location for exploring the area. There's plenty of nice coastal walks that are only a short drive away. The town itself is quite small but still has plenty to offer. There's history with the fort and last invasion gallery, the lower town is very cute and you're spoiled for choice with food and drink - lots of very good quality cafes, restaurants and pubs.

In Fishguard to take ferry to Ireland so didn't see much of it. Looks a nice coastal town but obviously the ferry port overwhelms the town.
If using the ferry services directions are clear and plenty of space to park and wait if arrive early.
Stayed overnight in The Ferryboat which was lovely and highly recommended.

A lovely little town and great base to explore local sites and coves. Great walking, lovely quaint streets, easy shopping at the CoOp. Exploring pathways and surrounds was fascinating.
A short drive to St David’s. We were there mainly for the Challenge Fishguard Triathlon. A great event.

Fishguard is a relatively small port/leisure town in North Pembrokeshire. There are pleasant walks and old properties and chapels. Good views out to the hills and sea from various viewpoints, Shopping choices are somewhat limited but there is a largeish Co op Stores and many independents. There is a pleasant cafe facing the Square opposite St Mary's Church (Bopty Cafe) and the Royal Oak Pub has a large terrace to the rear with sea views and offers a variety of food and drink with an outside bar in good weather, Live jazz was being played outside when I visited, there was a soap box derby and fair in the park and a number of other folk and music/dancing events which made for a happy and civilised summer feel. A walk along the breakwater at Goodwick is pleasant or a day trip to Ireland on the ferry. There is a good local cinema showing many current films and live showings. The gallery along west street (Miles Pepper) is worth a trip. Check out the Fishguard Music Festival in September and Aberjazz in the Spring.

Distance between dock, village, train station and waterfront...
Distance between dock, village, train station and waterfront are quite large, so transport is needed. Some sort of shuttle service would be great as it is often windy and wet, so walking would be challenging.
We were stayed at Room 10 for 2 adults and 1 kid. It is spacious and quiet room with independent entrance. The hotel left the keys on the door and you do your own check-in. The bathroom was recently renewed and have plenty of hot water. There is plenty of storage and small fridge. Close to the village center but really quiet area. Breakfast was nice. Really good choice for sleeping while exploring the area. Each room has it’s own allocated parking space.
The cottage was spacious, stylish, and beautiful, filled with amazing art and artefacts that were also for sale. There are gardens front and rear, and it's located on a quiet road, close to the town centre of Upper Fishguard. A welcome sign and gift were a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The owner is very helpful and responsive to any queries or requests. We loved it and would stay again.
This is a chic period hotel in the heart of Fishguard, which has been recently beautifully renovated. Our room was spacious, comfortable and superbly decorated, with everything we could possibly want (tea-making facilities, Netflix etc.) But the crowning glory of this place is that it is owned and run by a chef, and the evening meal and breakfast we had were to die for. A great place!!
The communication with the host was excellent.
Lovely welcome pack on arrival.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped for a short break. It had everything you needed.
The small cottage was cosy.
Excellent location in the middle of Fishguard. Free parking was a welcome bonus.
Entry and instructions were easy and getting in was very smooth.
The place was clean.
This is a small but comfortable hotel. The attached restaurant is excellent. We had the best meals of our two week visit to the UK here. The hotel and restaurant are owned and run by the chef. He holds himself to a very high standard. They were very friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with our stay.
Beautifully presented, every little detail thought of, very accurate description of facilities, spotlessly clean, quiet location with short easy walk into centre of Fishguard (shops, restaurants, pubs, etc), very friendly and welcoming hosts. All in all could not be faulted. Thank you Al & Beatriz
Check in was a breeze as everything was done by text messaging with fast response. We had a parking space almost right next to our room which was convenient. We stayed in room 10 and room 13. Room 13 was spacious and looked more modern than 10, but both rooms were clean with comfortable bed.
Very friendly and easily contactable host. Very informative, friendly and comunative.
Well equipped and very comfortable, cosy accommodation.
Excellent location with fantastic sea view and within walking distance to the harbour and pub!
A must stay in the Fishguard area. Highly recommended!!
Ideal place to stay when getting the late boat from Rosslare. Lovely clean bedroom, friendly owner, nothing a problem - undestands whtat late night travellers require. Will stay again if/when i arrive late in Fishguard.
Great in town location. Within walking distance of many dining options. Also great hiking options. Easy drive to other Welsh treasures, particularly spectacular is St. David.
it was close to the port of Fishguard, the owner is pleasant and can’t do enough for you, this was our 2nd stay here at this property and it will not be our last
