Excellent central hotel generally in good order but some decor a bit tired in places. Staff generally very helpful, friendly & courteous. Dining room , food, bar area, reception & courtyard all very well presented & welcoming.

The room was clean, the staff very friendly and the breakfast delicious. It was lovely sitting in the bar in the evening with our dog, chatting to the locals.

Central location great for theatre, cathedral, museum, markets and also nearby out of town interest. Love the secure parking.
Perfect for visiting the National Memorial Arboretum.
Perfect for visiting the National Memorial Arboretum. There is a local Royal British Legion Club that is not the best I have been in. Sat nav will have you miss the place unless you take the signs Village only. The village seems to have properties that punch over the average.

A lovely quaint place!
A lovely quaint place! We didnt have very much time at all for exploring as we arrived a short time before we were going to a wedding but what we did see made us realise it would be worth coming back to sometime to have a good look around. Loved the thatched cottages!
The location was perfect as I wanted to visit the nearby National Arboretum for an Army function. It is also an old English type Public House and restaurant with full character. The room is small but after all it is a Pub and not a Hotel But it was very ,clean tidy and had all the necessary things like tea coffee and plenty towels. Also TV.
Food was excellent. The room was comfy and large, with a good bathroom. Although the room was on the front of the property and near the A38, the triple glazing was very effective. It was a very short stroll into Alrewas old village and then along to the canal and the narrow boats. Generally felt welcomed and good value for money.
The staff were very happy and helpful. The landlord offered me a lift in his car to the National Memorial Arboretum, which was not walkable, and to me, above and beyond what I would have expected.
The meals were excellent. The room was warm and cozy. Alrewas is a nice quiet friendly village.
Host was lovely, the breakfast was really good, I was worried about noise as the B&B is near the road - but it was the most peaceful nights sleep I've had while travelling. The room was not stuffy / over heated as you get in lots of chain hotels.
Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked local produce. We chose the location because it is so close to the National Memorial Arboretum, but Alrewas itself is very pleasant with walks along the canal and a choice of pubs.
Welcoming, helpful host. Excellent location for visiting National Arboretum, our reason for stay. Alrewas is lovely little village with some excellent pubs and good for an evening stroll. Very affordable.
A great location in Alrewas to visit family and discover local history. Friendly staff in a historic building. Bed was comfortable and room was warm and cosy on a frosty night.
