Beautiful room with very comfy bed. Had a very cosy feeling and was well appointed. Also there was access to a communal fridge in upstairs lobby that had sparkling and still water and fresh milk appointed to each room with labels and a bowl of fresh fruit on top that was complimentary aswell. We didn't have breakfast but my sister and brother in law did and it was a very generous continental breakfast, well worth the extra charge!

We had a stop over on our way from Liverpool to Poole and the Thatch Inn was a great stop over. The food was great in the restaurant - recommend the asian inspired elements. Very friendly staff.

Painswick is a very picturesque village with enough facilities for a short stay. There are limited places to eat but all were worth a visit. A very peaceful Cotswolds village, Falcon Inn was a great place to eat, went there twice. A good place to start a Cotswolds Way walk. I only stayed for a hiking weekend with friends but could have definitely stayed longer - lots of things to see and do within an easy each (one does need a car though).

We ate at the Edgemoor Inn at Edge. The food was a good price and excellent with a varied range of food choices. Another time I would love to see the 200 Yew trees in the church yard, and the famous Rococco gardens.

Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. We ate in the only three pubs/restaurants - St Michaels Bistro, The Falcon and The Oak and enjoyed the drinks and meals in all - all quite different. Village itself can be walked round very quickly - don't expect any shops to visit but lots of nice walks on offer.heatherUnited Kingdom

There was a fresh loaf, organic butter and fresh eggs in a basket, and some organic milk in the fridge. The garden was really lovely. There was a barbecue too, which we did use. Painswick is a very pretty village and the cottage is situated across from the church and it’s famous 99 Yew trees. Little shop and a very nice pub within a few yards too. Perfect.LisaUnited Kingdom

Having breakfast and looking at the garden in the morning was a particular favourite of mine. It was extremely clean and the hosts (Peter and Judy) were so lovely! Painswick itself is beautiful but definitely need a car as not a lot to do in the area. We took our 6 month cockapoo which the lodge was perfect for. The owners/staff were very helpful in advance and let us have early check-in whilst cleaning continued due to us attending a wedding and also catered for my dairy intolerance by providing oat milk! The cottage was very clean, the bed was comfy and the heating was very good - the cottage became lovely and warm pretty quickly after heating being turned on.

They even offered rose petals on the bed, which was a perfect addition. The room was excellent, bed was very comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. Painswick was a lovely town, and we enjoyed walking through some of the "public foot paths" in the area during our stay. You can't go wrong here!
