Robert and Tanya went out of their way to accommodate us, including getting up at 5:30am to prepare an early cooked breakfast, and allowing us to retain our room to get changed prior to our departure. Breakfast was excellent. All rooms were spacious, well decorated and extremely comfortable. The property has history and is full of character.

It is a lovely, quaint cottage on the outside but is modern on the inside. Very clean and comfortable.

Tired old hotel with rooms with peeling paint, broken cupboards and windows and dirty curtains. Had to go up 4 flights of stairs to get to attic room that was being used by the construction staff renovating the spa. Food was limited choice and of porr quality for the money that was being asked and charged. No phone in the room so had to climb up and down 4 flights of stairs to get any service. Issues not addressed and had to check out early, extremely poor hospitality. Do not tale bookings if you cannot provide a basic level of service.

Shelton Mallet seems to be a good representation of smaller, rural communities in Southern England. Beautiful surrounding countryside and closeness to some additional cities of interest such as Wells and Glastonbury. Several good restaurants were recommended by the owners of the inn. Roads in the town can be a bit tight.

It is in a good spot for touring around Dorset etc. Very quiet little town with not much to do. There is a Greek restaurant and a cafe that opens during the day. The Swan is one of the nicest pubs.

The Bath and West ground is literally just a mile away.
The Bath and West ground is literally just a mile away. Local facilities for shopping are also close by. If the weather is good there are beautiful walks and things to do. Where this is, you would definitely need a car to make the most of the surrounding area.

Disgusting filthy property mould ,also blood on the divan base several broken sharp bathroom tiles, filthy shower screens ,dusty, old and worn all needs renewing before booking.com advertise you took me in with the pictures
After showing us to our very spacious room, Alan, the owner, served tea and cake in the very spacious lounge, which is a very recent extension to but entirely within keeping with the original Manor House. We weren’t familiar with the local area but he was very willing to share his encyclopaedic knowledge of it to help us make the best of our stay.
The standard of decor, fittings and general ambience of the accommodation is quite outstanding. We skipped lunches after the delicious and very generous breakfasts!
A very pleasurable stay.
This holiday home was really fun and uniquely decorated with 1950s furniture and Nik Naks. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy and the towels were fluffy. It was perfectly situated for a night at Shepton Mallet Prison as well as exploring nearby Wells and Cheddar Gorge. The hosts Trev and Christine were so lovely. We broke down on our way to the property. Not only did they check on us, to make sure we were ok, because we missed our check in but they extended our stay in beautiful Somerset.
The inn is situated on a main road just outside Shepton Mallet & great value. Staff brilliant & food very tasty and great value: extra large fish and chips plus a pint for £11.50. (Friday). Sausages and mash similar price and perfectly cooked. (Saturday).
Leather sofas & heater in external smoking room.
The price was half that of other hotel rooms in the area.
Portable heater kept room warm as toast in below freezing weather.
Such a great use of space and the owner could not have been more helpful. It was clear she was avaliable if needed. The eggs and biscuits were a nice touch on arrival and the kitchen had everything you would need.
The bedroom/living area was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom was lovely with a really nice roomy shower.
I would absolutely recommend to anyone and will think of it first next time I am visiting the area.
Beautifully renovated property and gorgeous spacious garden. It was easy to find and a wonderful getaway from London life and feeling like you could breath fresh air again and forget your troubles. The owners were really warm and welcoming and it was lovely to get to know them and the history of the area. They had great recommendations and we feasted on all the local delights.
Looking forward to visiting again.
A lovely period cottage with many homely touches. Perfect for a family of 4 with a lovely well kept cottage garden at the back. Well stocked Co-op across the road and a great pub The Bell Inn a short walk away. Perfect location for exploring Somerset with Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Bristol and more in striking distance. A very comfortable stay with lovely helpful hosts.
We stayed at Apartment 2 (4 adults - 2 double bed rooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and small dining room). Great location, had no issues parking in the near by car park, which was cheap.
It was really fresh and clean. Had everything we needed for a short stay.
Shower room in this apartment was modern, great shower.
Would definitely return if we visit Shepton Mallet again!
Breakfast, the beer garden, location. Plus lots of tea and coffee provided in the room. Sometimes you get two pods of milk which only really serves one coffee. I think I had 8!
Pillows and bed were comfy too. The area is lovely, Shepton Mallet centra is a 15 min walk with tesco and the mulberry outlet. Glastonbury is a short drive and definitely worth a visit.
We absolutely loved this delightful apartment with everything needed for a short stay - very comfortable and cosy. So close to the main street in Shepton Mallet. Lovely extras of fruit and biscuits on arrival. Ruth our host was helpful and lovely too. Thank you!
Well appointed and spacious for 2 people. Everything there that was needed. Good quality kitchenware and bedding, really like the Aga. Superb views, property on a quiet farm. Two, amazingly friendly cats visited us every day. Couldn’t fault it.
Warm welcome. Easy key collection. Great location for touring. Everything we could need for self-catering break. Village location with a parking space. Lovely seating area outside to enjoy which is private to the cottage. Beautiful.
Breakfast...at least we managed to catch that on the sunday..lol...the location was good, not too long of a drive to places in the Somerset we often visit like street-clarks village shopping.
Great location for exploring the local area, accommodation was immaculate. The owner Alan was the perfect host, and gave us some really good advice on Somerset. Amazing breakfast too!
The apartment was very well designed for the space and was extremely well furnished and equipped. The courtyard was full of wonderful plants and the hosts 8were gracious and helpful
Beautifully decorated house. Very knowledgeable host (lots of information about the area and restaurants). Great breakfast. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Quiet room.
Very well kept hotel, great service staff and clean rooms with beautiful individual features to each room. Spa facilities beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.
