Surfs Up Lodge - Westward Ho! to Northam Burrows Country Park route

Northam Burrows Country Park is one of the finest natural attractions on the North Devon coast and is approximately 1.6 miles by road from Surfs Up Lodge, Westward Ho!. However, walking is by far the better option, with a pleasant route of around 1.4 miles taking approximately 27 minutes. As the lodge is already close to the seafront, you'll actually enter the edge of Northam Burrows before reaching the calculated destination point, allowing you to begin enjoying the open grasslands, sand dunes and coastal scenery well before the walk officially ends. Forming part of the UNESCO-designated North Devon Biosphere Reserve, the Burrows is a unique landscape of salt marshes, grazing commons and the famous Pebble Ridge, offering spectacular views across Bideford Bay towards Lundy Island.
