The Gherkin is approximately 0.3 miles on foot from DoubleTree by Hilton London – Tower of London, with the walk taking around six minutes. Walking is the quickest and most practical option for hotel guests, with the route leading west through the City of London towards the distinctive 30 St Mary Axe skyscraper. The short distance makes it easy to reach the surrounding offices, restaurants and public spaces without needing public transport or a taxi.

A driving route is also available, covering approximately 0.5 miles and taking around four minutes in light traffic. However, driving is unlikely to offer any real advantage once one-way streets, congestion, parking restrictions and the time required to find a suitable parking space are considered.
