The Travelodge Harlow is just a mile from the town centre and just a short distance from Harlow town railway station, ideal for the town and Stansted airport a short drive away if you are arriving by public transport. Just beyond the railway station the river Stort can be found, a popular boating / canal river, in fact the river has been canalised to allow goods to be taken along the navigation. The river has a good flat level path to the side that would make a pleasant walk from the hotel
Harlow itself is a relatively new town, post world war II in the upper Stort Valley though Old Harlow dates back to medieval times. The town is in general sits in a predominantly rural area with plenty of green spaces once out of the town, the Travelodge Harlow is therefore a good base to visit the region around the town. It should be mentioned though that Harlow town has been built and designed with an abundance of green spaces with third of the lad given to greenery , parklands and footpaths.
To complement the open feel to the town, it is also proud to host a large collections of public sculpture on display around the borough , many of which can be seen around the shopping centres by world renown artists.
