Rock Beach
Near Padstow - a sandy composition 2.4 miles away. Rock Beach is a popular seaside destination located in the village of Rock, on the eastern side of the Camel Estuary in Cornwall, England. The beach is situated directly opposite the picturesque harbour town of Padstow, just a short ferry ride away (foot passengers only).
Rock Beach is a beautiful, wide, sandy beach that is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. The beach has a gentle slope into the sea, making it ideal for families with children. There are also lifeguards on duty during the summer months.
In addition to its natural beauty, Rock Beach is known for its excellent water sports opportunities, particularly for windsurfing, kiteboarding, and sailing. There are a number of water sports schools and rental companies located on the beach, offering lessons and equipment hire.
For those who prefer to stay on land, there are several coastal walks that start from Rock Beach, offering stunning views of the Camel Estuary and the surrounding countryside. The beach also has several cafes, restaurants, and bars, providing a range of dining options.
Access to Rock Beach is easy, with a large car park nearby and a regular ferry service from Padstow, which operates daily during the summer season. The ferry ride takes just a few minutes and offers beautiful views of the estuary and the surrounding area.
Lower Beach
Near Padstow - a sandy composition 2.5 miles away. One of several sandy beached accessible from Padstow via the SW Coast path, facing into the Camel Estuary, and are all mostly made up of fine sand. Lower Beach Padstow however is covered at high tide.
St George's Cove Beach
Near Padstow - a sandy composition 2.6 miles away. One of a series of small sheltered coves along the camel estuary and within walking distance of Padstow. A sheltered sandy cove that opens up at low tide with large swathes of sand.
Trevone Bay Beach
Near Padstow - a sandy composition 2.7 miles away. Close to Trevone west of Padstow with a small sheltered sandy beach set in a cove.
Newtrain Bay / Rocky Beach
Near Padstow - a rocky composition 2.7 miles away. Located west of Padstow, near Harlyn Bay. Newtrain Bay beach is also refered to Rocky beach. Predominately a rocky beach as the name suggests with only small areas not covered in rock. Parking is at Trevone nearby and then follow the South West Coast path west.
