Fowey is a delightful small town and cargo port nestled at the mouth of the Fowey River on the south coast of Cornwall, England. Known for its natural harbour, the town has a rich maritime history and is steeped in charm with narrow streets lined with independent shops, galleries, cafes, and pubs. It's also home to Readymoney Cove, a small, sheltered sandy beach. Westward, the historic port of Charlestown, which has been used as a filming location for period dramas including "Poldark", and the vibrant town of St Austell, home to the famous Eden Project near Par, are short drives away. Across the water from Fowey is the village of Polruan, reachable by a regular passenger ferry service. A little further upriver is the beautiful town of Lostwithiel, known for its antique shops. Additionally, the South West Coast Path runs through Fowey, providing fantastic walking opportunities along the stunning Cornish coastline.
