Located in the heart of this popular and well known village #o the North Cornish coast. The YHA provides 28 beds on a self catering basis only with a kitchen provided to prepare your meals nearby there are places to eat out or to purchase provisions ti eat in at the hostel.
Around the hostel the accommodation is set in the valley floor formed by the river Valency with steep sides to the valley. Just a short walk will take you to the actual coast though there are plenty of good walks in the area. the South West coastal path runs alongside the hostel.

Near Boscastle - a rocky and shingle composition 1.7m away.Mostly rocky with extremely poor access. We have however included this beach as there is a large grey seal colony nearby and you can sometimes see this from Buckator cliff / south west coastal path
Bossiney Haven Beach
Near Tintagel - a sandy composition 2.3m away.A bit of a walk along the coast path or over fields (sometimes with cattle in) from the B3263 at the village of Bossiney. The Cove is deep set with high cliffs giving it good shelter. Virtually no beach at high tide otherwise a good sandy beach and not too busy.

Merlins Cave Beach
Near Tintagel - a sandy and rocky composition 3.2m away.Located right next to Tintagel Castle and only accessible at lower tides. The beach is not the main draw to visitor's but the cave, which goes right under and through to the other side under the narrow strip of rocky land linking the castle to the mainland.
Trebarwith Strand Beach
Near Tintagel - a sandy and rocky composition 4.3m away.The head of Trebarwith Strand Beach is made up of flat rocks and is about all you can see at high tide but as the tide goes out the sand appears. There is a car park, toilets and cafe at the head of the beach
