Longhoughton Steel Beach

Near Alnwick - a sandy and rocky composition 0.9 miles away. Two small bays next to each other separated by a rock outcrop, named Sugar Sands(North) and Howdiemont sands (South) the beaches themselves are sandy and picturesque backed by low cliffs where you can park on walk down to both beaches. Good for bathing, rock pooling and fishing.

Alnmouth Beach

Near Alnmouth - a sandy composition 2.6 miles away. A long sandy beach with the River Aln separating the beach North and South. The North beach has a good sized car park with seasonal ice cream Van. The sand dune backed beach is ideal for many occasions, building sandcastles, walking, fishing, bathing (though away from the river estuary) and there is a good amount of wildlife in the area.

Craster Beach

Near Alnwick - a sandy shingle and rocky composition 3.3 miles away. A small patch of sand within Craster Harbour enlosed by harbour walls and with boats moored nearby. There are rocks either side on the small sandy beach. The coastline either side though rocky is good for fishing. Parking is available in the quarry car o entering the village where toilets are also available.

Warkworth Beach

Near Warkworth - a sandy composition 4.8 miles away. Located close to Warkworth, north of Amble on the Northumberland Coast AONB. The beach is backed by extensive sand dunes which themselves are a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). There is a good sized car park and toilets close to the beach
