Near Bridgwater - a sandy pebble and rocky composition 3.2 miles away. A beach not so much for bathing but very interesting geologically. With Black limestone and slate base, shingle in the gaps and interesting rock folds.
The make up of the area assist in the formation of fossils and many have been found on the beach
Blue Anchor Bay Beach
Near Minehead - a sandy and shingle composition 4.3 miles away. A very wide, expansive sandy / shingle beach with far reaching views with the hills of Exmoor to the west. North Hill at Minehead. Lots of parking available at various places along the seafront. There is also a station for the West Somerset Steam Railway which you can take from Minehead.
