Bath is a historic city located in the rolling countryside of Somerset, England, celebrated for its Roman-built baths and exquisite Georgian architecture. The city was first established as a spa resort by the Romans in AD 43 and was given the name Aquae Sulis. The Roman Baths, from which the city derives its name, are remarkably well-preserved and remain one of the city's most popular attractions.
